Spirit’s funding of Active projects provides opportunities for the least physically active in society to become more physically active by providing regular and sustained opportunities for participation in a wide-variety of physical activity and sport.

Activities are targeted for people based on their needs and provide supportive peer-to-peer volunteering and mentoring opportunities. These projects also provide opportunities for people to be social outside the specific activities and often provide pathways to other activities and sports. We monitor and learn what works with our active projects so we can scale successful ways of working to other groups and localities.
