Spirit of Youth

About the Programme

We fund projects that inspire and empower young people to participate in sport, physical activity, arts and culture, volunteering and social action.

We aim to help young people to create the change they want to see in their communities and to aspire to do more and do better by helping others and themselves.

Young people have the opportunity to develop important skills and meaningful qualifications that are recognised and valued by employers and educators. Empowering young people will help build the habits of a lifetime. This programme inspires youth leadership.

We have a Youth Advisory Panel made up of young people to help shape the effectiveness of our grant-making in this area.

We have invested £6 million to date on youth empowerment projects, and plan to commit another £4.2 million over the life of our endowment.
