Spirit of 2012 is recruiting for a friendly and motivated Communications Intern to support our Head of Communications and help us plan and stage a milestone conference and reception in October.
Are you creative and energetic, with excellent interpersonal and all-round communication skills? Do you write with flair and confidence, with the ability to adapt style and tone for different purposes and audiences? Do you have a good eye for accuracy and detail? Are you highly organised and motivated and able to use your initiative?
If so, you might be our ideal candidate. The daily tasks of the role will include: populating our social media channels with interesting and engaging content, researching local media outlets and contacts, visiting and reporting on Spirit projects, activities and partner meetings, writing features for the Spirit website and producing press releases designed to attract media coverage for our funding and projects. You’ll also play a significant role in the planning and staging of our showcase anniversary event in October.
In return, we offer you the chance to join our small friendly team in Somerset House in a full-time role for six months where you will gain valuable experience in a high profile, busy communications function.
